Operation and Shutdown Steps of Differential Pressure Switch

Differential Pressure Switch is called as DPS, or Differential Pressure Controller, or Pressure Differential Switches. Differential Pressure Switches is a very useful instrument in the automatic control system.

1. Operation steps of differential pressure switch

A. When put into operation, first open the balance door to make a equal pressure on the positive and negative sides.

B. Then open the secondary valve on the positive pressure side and the secondary valve on the negative pressure side.

C. Close the balance valve and put the differential pressure switch into operation.

2. Shutdown steps of differential pressure switch:

a. First, open the balance door to make the pressure on the positive and negative sides equal.

b. Then close the secondary valve on the positive pressure side and the secondary valve on the negative pressure side.
